As we celebrate our milestone, we would be remiss not to pay tribute to those who have supported, challenged, and lifted us over the years. Our incredible clients, partners, and teams have all been instrumental in helping us grow and evolve. We started with a team of one - our founder – servicing three clients. We’ve since grown into to a fully integrated team of nearly 20 people spanning B2B marketing/digital/PR disciplines working across more than a dozen clients.

A topic of importance this year was the continued transformation of the B2B landscape. Today’s B2B buyer is often the end-users themselves, able to make their own purchasing decisions. Digital-natives are often driving forces in this new landscape, and catering to them is essential.

We discovered three essential strategies to cater to the modern B2B buyer: connect through personalization, prioritize the buyers’ time, and create content that addresses their questions. Promoting succinct, personalized content communicated through the proper channels creates a more impactful experience for your audience. It’s critical to embrace these changes to align your sales approach with the preferences of today’s tech-savvy B2B buyer.

 

Exploring the AI Frontier

In our sixth year of business, we introduced key discoveries in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Through an in-depth interview, we learned directly from the chatbot about the most notable AI platform, ChatGPT.

This conversation provided insights into AI’s role in B2B PR and marketing, providing both positives and negatives for using AI platforms. The chatbot shared its ‘benefits’ in assisting with content creation and data analysis while also admitting to limitations such as lack of context and creativity. ChatGPT ended the interview with a reminder as the world explores and adapts to this new realm:

“Remember that while AI can assist you in various aspects of B2B marketing, the human touch, creativity, and strategic thinking are what set your brand apart. Embrace AI as a supportive tool and leverage its capabilities to augment your marketing efforts while maintaining a customer-centric and human-driven approach.”

 

The Importance of Connection

While our community constantly evolves to keep pace with the latest trends, we always go back to the basics to remind ourselves of the impact of clear, confident communication. Through a series of blog posts, we examined this importance, discovering the impact of a well-crafted strategic communications plan.

Communication with consistency and clarity is crucial for company growth and development. Clarity thrives on concise language that is succinct and to the point – in a world full of “fluff,” prioritizing brevity helps your messaging stand out. 

Prioritizing Culture (Summer Culture)

Our post-pandemic world has brought about significant and lasting changes in the workplace, one of which is a more harmonious work-life balance. While this culture of relaxation tends to be amplified in the summer months, we encourage this atmosphere continue year-round.

This year, we worked on achieving a work-life “blend,” where team members can integrate personal and professional responsibilities in a way that suits their individual lifestyles. This promotes a healthier approach to work, improving mental, emotional, and physical health. Leadership sets the tone for this culture, leading by example and valuing flexibility by encouraging breaks and vacation time as essential components of a positive work environment.

 

New Influencer Communities

Influencers have defined the B2C community and are making their way into the B2B world. We have proudly collaborated with the industry’s leading influencer marketing experts to grow our B2B influencer capabilities and shared some of our key takeaways in-depth here.

B2B influencer collaboration requires careful consideration of your brand’s goals. Long-term relationships with micro-influencers prove to bring the highest engagement for B2B brands. Many B2B influencers have small yet highly niche audiences, providing an authentic connection between a brand and its target audience. These collaborations benefit companies with both enhanced credibility and access to valuable feedback/insights.
