John E. Walker

MANAGING PARTNER

Managing Partner John E. Walker founded Chirp in 2017 following a 20+ year marketing and communications career at major multi-national public relations firms and global corporations, including Edelman, Ketchum, Publicis, Syniverse as well as formative experience at Planet Hollywood International and the Walt Disney World Company. 

Based on his experience, he envisioned a different way to service clients with dedicated senior counsel that develop and implement integrated programs, collaborating with in-house resources and existing partner agencies to deliver results that matter.

John has earned several industry awards, including a PRSA Silver Anvil, PRSA Georgia Phoenix Awards, IABC Golden Quills, and many others, and was recognized as one of 30 under 30 by PR Week magazine.

He serves on the Board (immediate Past Chair) of PRSA’s Counselors Academy where he led development of a strategic plan, roles and responsibilities governance, and succession plan, resulting in member growth beyond goal. He has held leadership positions on the boards of ToolBank USA, PRSA|GA, and VSA Arts of Georgia. He’s an alumni of LEAD Atlanta and formerly served on the Mississippi State University’s Department of Communication Advisory Board.

His board service reflects his dedication to equity, access, and creative community engagement - particularly in education and the arts.

John holds an MBA in International Marketing from Rollins College and a degree in Professional Accounting from Mississippi State University. A believer in the power of smart storytelling to shift culture and drive results, John helps organizations move hearts and minds — and deliver results that matter.
