 Todd DeFeo began working with Chirp in 2018 following more than 15 years at media and marketing organizations.

DeFeo develops content that helps businesses tell their stories in compelling ways on the channels where their audiences want to consume information.

He is an award-winning journalist and communicator who has worked with clients ranging from startups to mid-sized businesses to Fortune 50 companies.

DeFeo began his career as a newspaper reporter, earning awards for his investigative reporting. The Georgia Associated Press honored DeFeo with its “Story of the Year” honors for his coverage of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process. After leaving journalism, he transitioned to public relations, where he has earned honors for content and integrated marketing.

Outside the office, he is an avid traveler, photographer, amateur historian and a railfan. He has published a pair of books, one about the Western & Atlantic Railroad and the other chronicling the Memphis, Clarksville & Louisville Railroad, the first-ever complete history of the line.

He is a graduate of Denison University, where he majored in history.
